Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the artwork, photographs, and files on this website are my own. Photos and artwork are shared for informational purposes; please do not copy, share, or redistribute them without explicit permission. 

Portfolio pictures shared on this website are presented as samples of this artist's previous work and current skills and abilities. Unless otherwise stated, these exact items are not for sale. Actual commissioned artwork will vary, as all writing is done by hand. 

All pictures of envelope artwork include fictional persons and mailing addresses. Any resemblance to actual people/mailing addresses is purely coincidental.

You can unsubscribe from my mailing list at any time if you no longer wish to receive emails from The Flourished Fern. Simply click the "unsubscribe" button in your email, or send me a message at flourishedferncalligraphy@gmail.com and add "unsubscribe" to the subject line.

Requesting Calligraphy Services

This website is primarily intended to serve as a portfolio of work and to provide interested parties information about the calligrapher and the services she provides. Those interested in commissioned calligraphy works should reach out to the calligrapher via email, social media, or the request form. At this time, we are accepting orders from US customers ONLY. 

Submitting the "Custom Calligraphy Order Request" form is a request for the estimated price of custom calligraphy work. Completing and submitting this form is not a commitment to purchase goods or services, nor is it a guarantee of availability. All calligraphy services are subject to availability of time, skills, and materials. Once an estimate is given, you may choose to book the calligraphy project, or decline. 

The "Services" page lists starting prices for services offered, and is not a guarantee of availability. Additional services will incur additional fees. Prices subject to change. 

Processing Times

Processing times vary according to my personal schedule and workload, as well purchasing and shipping times for any calligraphy supplies not in stock. I will always give you the best approximation for how soon I can complete your project. Generally, please allow up to two weeks to produce small orders (not including shipping, if applicable). For larger orders (over 100 for paper products or over 10 for wood signs), please allow 4 to 5 weeks.

Payment

Once an estimate is approved, a contract and/or invoice and payment options will be sent to the customer via Paypal Invoices. For projects less than $200, payment will be due in full before the calligrapher begins to create your custom order. For orders $200 and over, a 50% deposit is due before the calligrapher will begin your project. The remaining balance is due once proofs are viewed and prior to shipping the product.

Accepted forms of payment include Paypal, credit card, Apple Pay, and Venmo. 

Shipping

USPS Ground Advantage, unless the customer indicates a different preference. Once your order has shipped, The Flourished Fern is not responsible for delays in transit. I may require insurance for large/time sensitive orders, such as wedding calligraphy. 

Refunds & Returns

Due to the custom nature of the calligraphy services, once the calligrapher has begun work on your project, a full refund will not be possible. If the project is not yet complete, a partial refund may be issued in extraneous cases only (i.e. a canceled event).  

Please carefully review your proofs, which will be sent via email once work on your order has been started. This way, any errors can be rectified BEFORE shipping. If the error is mine, I will correct it free of charge. If it is the customer's, such as an incorrect spelling or address on envelopes, an additional fee may be assessed, in the cost of the item(s) to be redone. Errors caught AFTER shipping will, necessarily, take longer to correct and get to you, the customer.

Returns will be handled on a case-by-case basis, but in most cases would not be helpful in the corrections process.

Digital Calligraphy-- Terms of Use

All personalized digital calligraphy files (svg, png, jpeg, etc) purchased from The Flourished Fern are yours to use, print, edit, modify, etc. as you see fit, with the restriction that the original svg files cannot be resold or represented as being your own work. If sharing on your own website or social media, please give credit to The Flourished Fern Calligraphy.

Free digital calligraphy files (coming soon) which are downloaded through this site or through my mailing list, are intended for personal use. Please do not redistribute or sell the original files. Fellow crafters may use my free, original svg or png files up to and not exceeding 20 times on craft products to be sold. Please reach out for a licensing agreement if you would like to use individual calligraphy files more extensively. 

Feedback & Testimonials

All testimonials shared on my website are from real customers who have given permission for me to use their quoted statements and names. They have not been paid for their testimonials. 

I will never publically share correspondence with my customers without their consent.

Disclaimer

As a beginning calligrapher, I offer calligraphy services at beginner prices. That being said, all calligraphy, as an art form, is imperfect. Even the most experienced veterans will have minor variances in their letterforms. Please carefully review my portfolio and/or request a sample of work before ordering if you are unsure whether my services are a good fit for your expectations.
